“life patterns are chains around the neck; to break them one eye is open, to deny them, one eye is closed”
SelectiveReasoning was one of my first of the series of paintings that I started working on. I had just moved to Morgan Hill, California back in 1998 was getting settled there for a volunteer job I opted to do after college. I was looking at my life from a different angle. I had one eye open to the new concept of living I wanted and yet I had one eye closed. I was moving forward, but I still had the recreation of my future that I needed to learn.
We can’t make change a process in our lives until we bring our past, present, and future into awareness. Once we become truthful with who we are and where we came from we can start to evaluate who we are from a neutral perspective.
